Catanzaro has unlocked the deal to bring Simone Pafundi, a young attacking midfielder born in 2006, to their Livigno training camp. The operation is a loan with option to buy: if exercised, Udinese would retain 50% of a future sell-on.
The deal was handled by Catanzaro's sporting director Ciro Polito, after Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic gave the green light, considering a move to Serie B the best option for the young talent's development.
Pafundi, regarded as one of Italian football's brightest young prospects, will have the opportunity to play regularly in Serie B to accelerate his growth. Catanzaro banks on him to add quality and creativity to their attacking department.
