Ferrari officially announced on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, that Charles Leclerc has signed a new multi-year contract with the team, described by the squad as a deal "for the coming seasons". The announcement came on the eve of the Monaco Grand Prix, the Monegasque driver's home race.
Leclerc, 28, has driven for Ferrari since 2019, having joined its academy in 2016. Only Michael Schumacher has started more F1 races for the Scuderia than the Monegasque, who also ranks second in the team's history for pole positions. He is yet to win a drivers' title, the stated goal he continues to chase in Maranello.
"I couldn't be happier to continue this journey," Leclerc said in a statement. "Together we've shared incredible moments and some tougher ones, but I believe in this team more than ever, and I'm deeply grateful that we will keep pushing side by side toward our shared goal of bringing the world championship back to Maranello."
