Real Madrid has made official the signing of Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan. The announcement came on Sunday, less than a week after Dumfries and the Netherlands were knocked out of the 2026 World Cup in the round of 32 by Morocco.
Madrid did not disclose the financial terms of the deal with Inter. Dumfries' contract with the Spanish club runs for four seasons.
The 30-year-old right back started all four of the Netherlands' matches at the World Cup. At Madrid he will compete for the right-back spot with Trent Alexander-Arnold, who arrived last year, following the departure of veteran Dani Carvajal after 13 seasons.
