American Jordan Lee, just 16 years old, has won the Wimbledon 2026 boys' singles title. On Sunday 12 July, on No. 1 Court at the All England Club, the young American beat Australia's Cruz Hewitt 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 in the final, completing a comeback after dropping the opening set.
Lee's achievement carries special significance: having come through qualifying, he became only the second qualifier ever to win the Wimbledon boys' title. He is also the first qualifier to win any Grand Slam boys' event since Noah Rubin did so, also at Wimbledon, in 2014. Lee, who was the youngest player in the draw having turned 16 only in May, is likewise the first American to win the boys' singles title at the Championships since Samir Banerjee in 2021.
The final was tense and thrilling. Hewitt, who had not dropped a set all tournament, was up an early break in the deciding set, but Lee broke back for 4-4 and then broke again in the final game, sealing victory with a backhand winner up the line on his first match point.
