Juventus have only just completed the signing of young striker Jeff Ekhator from Genoa, but the 18-year-old could already be headed out on loan as the Bianconeri explore a deal for Parma forward Mateo Pellegrino, according to reports in Italy.
Ekhator arrived from Genoa earlier this summer as a promising prospect for the future, yet La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Juventus are considering sending him on loan to Parma in a potential swap arrangement that would bring Pellegrino to Turin. Such a move would allow both players to gain regular first-team football while keeping costs manageable for the Bianconeri.
Pellegrino, who has impressed at the Stadio Tardini, has emerged as the latest striker target for Juventus after negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani stalled once again. The Argentine-born forward scored crucial goals for Parma in Serie A last season and would add depth to Luciano Spalletti's attacking options.
Meanwhile, Juventus are also looking within their own ranks for solutions. Midfielder Augusto Owusu, a 21-year-old product of the club's youth academy, has caught the eye of manager Spalletti during pre-season training. The Turin-born playmaker is now set to be promoted from the Next Gen squad to the senior team for the upcoming campaign.
Owusu, who progressed through the various age-group levels at the club and joined the Next Gen side in 2024, is expected to replace Fabio Miretti in the first-team squad list for the 2026-27 season. His promotion represents the latest example of Juventus trusting their academy graduates, with the club looking to blend experienced signings with homegrown talent.
The Bianconeri began their pre-season preparations with a 0-0 friendly draw against FC Basel, but Spalletti's squad is still far from complete as the transfer window continues to evolve.
