Lewis Hamilton claimed his first victory with Ferrari at the Spanish Grand Prix, held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday, 14 June 2026. The seven-time world champion finished ahead of team-mate Charles Leclerc in a day of total celebration for the Scuderia.
It was a "vintage" win for Hamilton, who showed he is back to his best at age 41 after a difficult first year in Maranello in which he never reached the podium of a grand prix. The result ended a run of 40 races without a win, 30 of them since his move from Mercedes to Ferrari at the end of 2024; his last victory had come at the Belgian GP in July of that year. He crossed the line more than 19 seconds ahead of George Russell (Mercedes) in second.
Sweetening the day further for Ferrari was Kimi Antonelli: the points leader came to a stop four laps from the end when his Mercedes suffered an electrical shutdown, ending his streak of five straight wins. Antonelli still leads with 156 points after seven races, but Hamilton has closed the gap to 115, with Russell third on 106. For Hamilton it was a record seventh win at this circuit and his first here since 2021. It was career win No. 106, extending his own record.
