Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that head coach Luis Enrique has agreed to a three-year contract extension that will keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2030. The announcement, made on Thursday September 4, cements the Spaniard's place as the longest-serving manager in the club's history.
Luis Enrique, 56, took charge of PSG in July 2023 with a mandate to deliver European glory. He has done so emphatically: back-to-back Champions League titles in 2024 and 2025, along with three consecutive Ligue 1 crowns, have transformed PSG from perennial underachievers on the continent into its dominant force. His previous deal had been set to expire at the end of next season, making this extension a decisive statement of intent from the Qatari-owned club.

The extension comes at a period of squad renewal at PSG. Alongside the coach's new deal, the club announced contract renewals for four young players — midfielder Joao Neves, defender Willian Pacho, centre-back Lucas Beraldo and forward Senny Mayulu — all tied to the club until 2031. Midfielder Fabian Ruiz, a key figure in PSG's European campaigns, also extended his contract through 2028.
The timing was deliberate. The announcements were made ahead of PSG's Ligue 1 fixture against Monaco on Friday, signalling that the club's project is entering a settled, long-term phase rather than the cyclical upheaval that characterised previous eras.
Since arriving from the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique has overseen a cultural shift at PSG. Where previous managers struggled to balance the egos of a star-studded squad, the former Barcelona and Roma coach has imposed a high-pressing, possession-based system that has become the benchmark in European football. His ability to develop young talent — Mayulu and Beraldo both graduated from the academy under his watch — has been as important as the silverware.
The three-year extension means Luis Enrique will now have spent seven full seasons at the club by its conclusion, a tenure unmatched by any of PSG's previous managers.
