Marco Brenner won the general classification of the 2026 Tour de Pologne on Sunday, the Tudor Pro Cycling rider overhauling overnight leader Christian Scaroni in a final-stage individual time trial that reshuffled the top of the standings.
The 12.5km course started and finished at the Wieliczka salt mine, climbing gently for the opening four kilometres before a mostly downhill run to the line. With the top 19 riders on general classification separated by less than a minute overnight, the stage was always likely to decide the overall title — and so it proved.
Brenner, who began the day fourth overall, built his challenge on consistency, finishing fourth, second and third on the three hardest stages of the race. His reward was the first stage-race general classification victory of his career and the third win of his professional career, completing a memorable week for Tudor Pro Cycling.
Scaroni, the XDS-Astana rider who had led overnight, could only manage seventh on the stage and slipped off the podium. Finn Fisher-Black (Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe) finished second overall after an excellent ride, with Movistar's Iván Romeo completing the podium in third.
The stage itself went to Stefan Küng, who stopped the clock in 14:25, with Fisher-Black second and teammate Callum Thornley third just over four seconds back. It was the Swiss rider's first win of the season and his first time trial victory since the Chrono des Nations in late 2024 — a remarkable comeback after breaking his leg at Omloop Nieuwsblad in February, returning at the Swiss national championships in June and lining up in Poland for his first race since.
