AC Milan has canceled the friendly match against Perth Glory scheduled for August 1 in Australia. Coach Ruben Amorim decided to replace the game, which would have been played behind closed doors anyway, with a training session.
Meanwhile, Rafa Leao and Gonçalo Ramos are expected to arrive in Perth tonight and will join the Rossoneri group from tomorrow to continue the preseason camp. The two players had remained in Milan to recover from minor physical issues and will now link up with their teammates.
The decision to cancel the friendly was made to optimize athletic and technical work ahead of the season start. Amorim intends to use every training session to fine-tune playing mechanisms.
