Milan have been handed positive news over Mario Gila, with tests confirming the defender escaped serious injury after limping out of Saturday's friendly against Celtic in Glasgow.
According to MilanNews, instrumental examinations carried out after the match diagnosed a strain to his right rectus femoris and, crucially, ruled out any lesion, sparing Ruben Amorim a fitness worry as pre-season preparations continue.
The scare aside, the trip to Scotland offered plenty for Amorim to work with. Milan struggled early, undone by defensive lapses as Celtic punished the mistakes to build a two-goal lead, but returned after the interval with more energy and better organisation to complete the comeback and draw 2-2.
