Minnesota Lynx beat Toronto Tempo 104-72 for ninth straight win

Napheesa Collier, Olivia Miles and Courtney Williams each scored 16 points as the Minnesota Lynx cruised past the Toronto Tempo 104-72 on Thursday night, extending their winning streak to nine games.

Kayla McBride added 13 points, Dorka Juhasz had 12 and Natasha Howard finished with nine points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks for the WNBA-leading Lynx, who improved to 24-6.

Laura Juskaite led the expansion Tempo (10-18) with 19 points, Marina Mabrey added 16 and Nyara Sabally chipped in 10. Toronto have now lost five in a row, nine of their last 10, following Tuesday's 100-93 defeat at Minnesota in the game that marked Collier's season debut.

The Lynx were relentless on defence, posting a season-high 14 steals and turning 24 Toronto turnovers, a season worst for the Tempo, into 31 points. Collier scored seven points in a 20-6 burst late in the second quarter that opened a 14-point lead with 2:31 left in the half, and Minnesota went into the break ahead 50-41.

Miles, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 draft, went without an assist for the first time in her WNBA career.

Toronto were shorthanded, with Brittney Sykes (foot) and Isabelle Harrison (knee) ruled out.

The Lynx return home to host Indiana on Sunday, while the Tempo visit the Golden State Valkyries the same day.
