The Momoven Racing team has initiated legal proceedings after its racing truck was seized by authorities while travelling to the Magny-Cours circuit in France for the fourth round of the MotoJunior season.
The Spanish-based squad confirmed the incident in an Instagram statement on Thursday, revealing that the vehicle transporting its equipment was intercepted and the trailer immobilised after being "administratively deregistered" amid ongoing civil proceedings regarding its ownership.
According to the team, the seizure involved individuals linked to Grupo Impormotor and the KSB Aspar Team. The Guardia Civil was called to the scene following what Momoven described as "alleged coercion" against its personnel.
"While travelling to the Magny-Cours circuit to contest the next round of the championship, the vehicle transporting our equipment was intercepted and the trailer was immobilised after being administratively deregistered while civil proceedings regarding its ownership are ongoing," the team's statement read.
Crucially, the Guardia Civil authorised the removal and inventory of all sporting equipment, allowing the team to continue competing this weekend. However, the trailer itself remains immobilised pending the outcome of the legal dispute.
Momoven Racing's Unai Orradre currently sits second in the Moto2 Junior standings, six points behind leader Milan Pawelec, having finished second in all five races so far this season. The team's Moto3 rider, Leonardo Zanni, won the opening race of the season in Catalunya.
The team also competes in the Moto2 World Championship in partnership with RW Racing.
"Our commitment remains the same: to resolve any dispute exclusively through the courts, to protect our riders, staff and sponsors, and to keep competing," the statement concluded.
The Magny-Cours round marks the fourth stop of the 2026 MotoJunior season following rounds in Catalunya, Estoril, and Jerez.
