Napoli Basketball have officially announced the signing of Jahmi'us Ramsey for the 2026-27 season, bringing last season's leading scorer in Italian Serie A back to the peninsula after a superb campaign with Pallacanestro Trieste.
Ramsey, a 25-year-old shooting guard born in Arlington, Texas, in 2001, stands 191 centimetres (6'3") and came through the college ranks at Texas Tech, where he averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds per game in 2019-20. He entered the NBA as the 43rd overall pick of the 2020 Draft, selected by the Sacramento Kings, and appeared in 15 games as a rookie with averages of 3.5 points and 0.9 rebounds.
The G League became his proving ground: after stints with the Agua Caliente Clippers and the Stockton Kings — where he put up 17.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in 2021-22 — Ramsey produced an outstanding campaign with the Oklahoma City Blue in 2022-23, averaging 21.3 points and 3.4 rebounds. That form earned him another NBA opportunity in Sacramento. He then began 2023-24 with the Toronto Raptors (6.7 points, 3.1 rebounds) before continuing with the Raptors 905, where he posted 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, adding a call-up to the USA Select Team for the Continental Games qualifying tournament. Back with the Oklahoma City Blue in 2024-25, he averaged 20.0 points and 4.8 rebounds.
