Donald Trump will present the World Cup to the winners of the Argentina-Spain final at East Rutherford. Trump said the 2026 World Cup showed the United States is "a soccer country".
The White House handled logistics and security, including tensions with Iran, restrictive immigration policies and refereeing controversies (the Balogun case). Andrew Giuliani (White House FIFA Task Force) called the tournament a cultural as well as sporting success. Trump will attend the presentation ceremony after already hosting Infantino at Trump Tower.
