Unicaja Malaga have reached an agreement to sign French forward Amine Noua on a two-year contract, with the Spanish club confirming the move on 30 July.
The 29-year-old returns to Spain after establishing himself as one of the most productive frontcourt players in the Greek league during the second half of last season. Noua averaged 18.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, one assist and 1.1 steals per game in domestic competition while shooting 44.2 percent from three-point range. He impressed at European level too, posting 14.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in the EuroCup with 40 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
Noua had returned to Europe only in November 2025, ending a brief spell in Indonesia to join Aris. His form in Thessaloniki persuaded the club to hand him a long-term extension, yet the Frenchman will now continue his career in Andalusia rather than honouring that deal.
Malaga represents a return to familiar surroundings. Noua was one of the standout performers in the Liga Endesa during the 2024-25 campaign, and his previous exposure to both Spanish basketball and the EuroLeague makes him a low-risk addition for a Unicaja side that has regularly competed for domestic honours.
A forward comfortable operating inside and on the perimeter, Noua stretches defences with his outside shooting and contributes on the glass at both ends. His arrival gives the frontcourt rotation extra scoring punch as Unicaja prepare for the new Liga Endesa campaign, with the club hoping the Frenchman can reproduce the form that made him one of the most productive scorers in the Greek league.
For Noua, it is a fresh start at a club where he has already shown he belongs: his 2024-25 season in Spain remains the reference point, and the two-year deal offers the stability he needs to relaunch his career after a nomadic couple of years.
