The USTA has announced the pairings for the 2026 US Open mixed doubles tournament, which will take place during Opening Week from August 24-26. Following the successful debut of the new format last year, the event has expanded to include a qualifying round and features some of the most spectacular combinations ever seen at Flushing Meadows.
The marquee pairing is undoubtedly Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka, uniting two former world No. 1s in a showcase of power and precision. They are joined by Taylor Fritz with Elena Rybakina, Andrey Rublev with Mirra Andreeva, and Casper Ruud with Iga Swiatek — the latter seeking redemption after losing the 2025 final to Errani and Vavassori.
Italy will be represented by three players. Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori return to defend the title they won a year ago, defeating Swiatek and Ruud in the final. The Italian duo, one of the most balanced and complementary pairs on tour, will face a far deeper and more competitive field this year. Flavio Cobolli makes his US Open mixed doubles debut alongside Swiss Olympic champion Belinda Bencic.
