Aprilia Racing has given Marco Bezzecchi full backing after his nightmare run. Team manager Paolo Bonora said: "remember you're the same Marco from Mugello". Bezzecchi, the championship leader after his Mugello win in May, has scored just 13 points from the last 148 available after crashes (Hungaroring, Brno, Assen) and injuries (clavicle and knee at the Sachsenring), slipping to fourth in the standings.
The team's message is clear: the Italian rider's potential is the one he showed at Mugello, and a comeback is possible.
