Atalanta came from two goals down to beat Arezzo 3-2 in a friendly match, after a nightmare start saw them 2-0 behind within the opening eight minutes through Alessandro Arena and Illanes.
Maurizio Sarri's side woke up after the break and completed the turnaround. Ibrahim Sulemana pulled one back from Nikola Krstovic's assist, before Ederson came off the bench to score on the counter-attack for 2-2. Krstovic then completed the comeback with a 3-2 winner from Daniel Maldini's corner.
Ederson had been all set for a move to Manchester United worth €45m, but the deal was scrapped following intensive medical tests. Atalanta insisted the Brazil international had no long-term knee damage and signed him to a new five-year contract.
