Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has announced that the 2026 season will conclude in Europe if the season-ending races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi cannot proceed due to the ongoing Middle East conflict. A final decision will be made by mid-September.
The Bahrain Grand Prix had already been relocated to Malaysia in October. If Qatar and Abu Dhabi are cancelled, F1 guarantees at least 21 race weekends this season, with several European circuits under consideration as replacements.
Domenicali emphasized F1's flexibility in responding to geopolitical challenges, assuring the championship will remain competitive regardless of the final decisions.
