Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali has confirmed that the 2026 season will end in Europe if the final two rounds in Qatar and Abu Dhabi cannot be hosted due to the Middle East conflict.
A decision will be made by mid-September. Multiple European venues are being considered as replacements, with Imola among the options.
The geopolitical situation in the Persian Gulf region continues to impact the F1 calendar, with the series preparing alternative scenarios to ensure the championship's conclusion.
