Williams finished with 18 points, drilling two critical 3-pointers in the final six minutes. Her first trey with 5:55 remaining cut Washington's lead to 65-62, before Kiah Stokes buried a game-tying triple from deep. Veronica Burton posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists, adding five rebounds, and her 3-pointer with 2:14 left pushed the lead to 71-65, capping a 15-4 closing run for Golden State.
Kayla Thornton added 11 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 4:14 to play. The Valkyries entered the contest allowing a WNBA-low 76.1 points per game and a Western Conference-best defensive rating, having surrendered just 69.2 over their previous five outings.
