The penalty came during a chaotic race in which Lando Norris claimed his first victory of the 2026 season. Norris took the chequered flag under intense pressure, while Hamilton's frustrations mounted as another promising result slipped away. Isack Hadjar finished sixth in the second Red Bull, ahead of George Russell who fought back through the field.
