Portland controlled the game from the opening tip, leading 24-17 after the first quarter and never relinquishing the advantage. The Blazers stretched the margin with a 34-point second period and a 30-point third, taking a comfortable cushion into the final frame, which they won 23-18. Minnesota's Donovan Williams top-scored with 21 points, while Portland's Chris Youngblood led the winners with 20.
The result lifts Portland's record to 1-2 in Summer League play, level with Minnesota, as both teams continue their offseason development showcases at the Thomas & Mack Center.
