Inter Milan have signed the most lucrative sleeve sponsorship deal in Italian football history, agreeing a partnership with Spanish banking group BBVA worth approximately €8.5 million per season. The agreement, announced on Tuesday, completes the Nerazzurri's commercial shirt slots as the club continues to maximise its revenue potential following last season's Scudetto triumph.
The sleeve deal surpasses the previous agreement with crypto platform Gate.io, which was valued at €6m per season, representing a significant uplift of over 40%. BBVA's logo will appear on the left sleeve of Inter's Nike-produced match shirts, joining main sponsor Betsson (€30m per season) and back-of-shirt sponsor U-Power (€5.5m).
The partnership extends well beyond the first team. BBVA will also feature on the shirts of Inter Women, Inter U23, Inter U20, Inter Legends, and will be the principal sponsor of the club's entire youth sector from Under-18 level downwards — covering both the boys' and girls' academy teams.
To contextualise the scale of the deal: Inter's €8.5m sleeve deal comfortably exceeds those of other Serie A giants. Both Milan (MSC, €5m) and Juventus (WhiteBit, €5m) earn significantly less from their sleeve partnerships, while Napoli's deal with Dongfeng sits at €4m and Roma's with Wizz Air at €3m. In European terms, Inter now sit alongside Bayern Munich (€8m from Allianz) and ahead of Atletico Madrid (€7m from Kraken).
«This partnership is strategic because it combines Inter's focus on its fans with BBVA's digital-first approach», the club said in an official statement, noting the aim to develop exclusive content and new opportunities for football enthusiasts.
Giorgio Ricci, Inter's Chief Revenue Officer, said: «Our ambition is to build partnerships that generate real value — not just for brands, but above all for people. In BBVA we have found much more than a partner: a company that shares our belief that technology and innovation should make every experience better and more accessible. Together we want to develop new ways of bringing football closer to people.»
The deal underscores Inter's growing commercial strength as the club continues to compete at the highest level both domestically and in Europe.
