The ITIA (International Tennis Integrity Agency) has announced two significant disciplinary measures. Russia's Anastasia Sukhotina (former world No. 607) has been banned for 4 years and 10 months and fined $30,000 for multiple corruption code violations.
The violations include attempting to bet on official matches, recruiting colleagues to fix matches, and destroying evidence, with offenses committed between 2019 and 2024. The ban remains in force until spring 2031.
Also suspended is Yalchin Manafli, captain of Azerbaijan's Davis Cup team, for refusing to hand over his smartphone to investigators. Manafli's appeal was rejected.
