Sinner skips Montreal Masters 1000: "Health is the priority"

Jannik Sinner has announced his withdrawal from the Montreal Masters 1000, the Canadian Open scheduled for August 4-10, 2026. The world No. 1 motivated the decision with health reasons.

"We made this difficult decision because my priority is health," Sinner said. "Montreal is a wonderful tournament and I'm very sorry not to be able to participate." The decision was expected after Wimbledon and was communicated directly by the Canadian Open organizers.
