Atalanta have completed the permanent signing of Gianluca Gaetano from Cagliari. The 2000-born attacking midfielder, a Napoli academy product, moves to the Bergamo club for €12 million plus €2m in add-ons and has signed a five-year deal until 30 June 2031.
The club finalised the move after the player underwent medical tests in Milan. Gaetano leaves Sardinia having made 93 Serie A appearances for Cagliari, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists, along with 5 Champions League outings.
With Gaetano on board, Atalanta strengthen their attacking options for coach Sarri ahead of the 2026-27 season.
