Mario Saint-Supéry has officially signed with Valencia, the Spanish club competing in the EuroLeague, ending his time at Gonzaga after just one freshman season. The move, announced on Saturday, July 11, leaves the Bulldogs without an established point guard ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, with the transfer portal already closed.
The guard, who completed his first year in Spokane, had just come off a starting role: 17 starts in 35 games, averaging 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 41%. His performances earned him a spot on the All-WCC Freshman Team. He is reportedly signing a four-year deal with the Valencia club.
The transfer is a homecoming for the former Liga ACB player. Saint-Supéry previously wore the colours of Málaga, a club in the same Spanish league as Valencia, before his college stint in the United States. "Zag nation, thanks for everything," he wrote on Instagram in a farewell to Gonzaga fans.
