Mercedes has identified and will deploy a software fix for the power unit deployment issue that hampered George Russell during the Belgian Grand Prix, as reported by [Crash.net](https://www.crash.net/f1/news/1101567/1/mercedes-has-fix-george-russells-f1-power-unit-software-glitch).
Russell confirmed the problem was linked to calibration issues in the power unit software, not a hardware failure. The same issue also affected Oscar Piastri at Spa.
The British driver expressed confidence the fix would be applied for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Mercedes worked intensively to identify the root cause after Russell reported intermittent power loss during the Belgian weekend.
