Luka Modric has signed a one-year contract extension with AC Milan, keeping the Croatian midfielder at the club until 30 June 2027.
The 40-year-old, who turns 41 in September, accepted the deal driven by a desire to bounce back after Milan finished fifth in Serie A last season and missed out on Champions League qualification. He will wear the number 14 shirt for his final campaign and join his teammates for the pre-season tour in Australia next month.
According to the club's official announcement, Modric's salary remains unchanged from the 2025-26 season at €3.5 million net per year. The statement described him as a "reference point" in midfield since his arrival and praised his commitment to the team both on and off the pitch.
