Newly promoted Monza have signed left-back Ricardo Mangas from Sporting CP on loan with an obligation to buy, the Brianzoli confirmed on Thursday.
The 28-year-old Portuguese arrived in Italy on Thursday and completed his medical before putting pen to paper. The deal includes an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met, with the purchase option valued at €1.5 million plus up to €0.4 million in add-ons.
Primarily a left-back, Mangas can also play in a more advanced role across a variety of systems. Monza were forced to wait until after the promotion play-offs to guarantee their place back in Serie A, alongside Venezia and Frosinone.
