Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova, Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina and Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen headline the teams nominated for the Billie Jean King Cup finals, which will be played from September 22 to 27 in Shenzhen, China.
Jasmine Paolini and her doubles partner Sara Errani return to lead Italy, the two-time defending champions, in the eight-team competition. Captain Tathiana Garbin has also named Elisabetta Cocciaretto, Lucia Bronzetti and Tyra Caterina Grant in the squad.
The Czech Republic will be a force again with Noskova joined by Karolina Muchova, the player she beat in the Wimbledon final, plus top-ranked doubles specialist Katerina Siniakova and Marie Bouzkova, under captain Barbora Strycova.
Rybakina leads Kazakhstan, with Yulia Putintseva, Sonja Zhiyenbayeva, Zhibek Kulambayeva and Anna Danilina completing a team captained by Yuriy Schukin. Zheng, who won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, spearheads host nation China, where she is supported by Zhang Shuai, Wang Xiyu, Guo Hanyu and Jiang Xinyu under captain Zheng Jie.
Britain have named Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart, Mika Stojsavljevic and Jodie Burrage, captained by Anne Keothavong. Belgium will rely on Hanne Vandewinkel, Jeline Vandromme, Greet Minnen and Magali Kempen under Wim Fissette. Spain's captain Carla Suarez Navarro has selected Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, Kaitlin Quevedo, Marina Bassols Ribera and Sara Sorribes Tormo. Marta Kostyuk and Elina Svitolina lead Ukraine, joined by Oleksandra Oliynykova, Dayana Yastremska and Lyudmyla Kichenok under Illya Marchenko.
Each tie features two singles matches and a deciding doubles if necessary, and nations can make up to four changes to their squads until the day before the finals begin.
