Bologna have officially signed Niger international left-back Rahim Alhassane from Real Oviedo for a reported fee of €3.5m, as reported by [Football Italia](https://football-italia.net/official-bologna-buy-alhassane-real-oviedo/). The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract at the Stadio Dall'Ara after completing his medical tests in recent days.
Alhassane is primarily a left-back but can also operate as a central defender. He made 28 competitive appearances for Real Oviedo last season across LaLiga and the Copa del Rey, contributing no goals or assists. Although his release clause had initially been reported around €4m, Bologna managed to close the deal at a slightly lower figure of €3.5m.
The Niger international already has 23 caps for his national team and provides valuable cover on the left flank for the Rossoblu. AS Monaco had also shown genuine interest, but Alhassane's preference for Bologna's project ultimately proved decisive. His arrival fits into the club's broader reinforcement plans for the upcoming Serie A season.
