The young defender, born in 2007, has signed a contract with the Como-based club until June 2030.
Trained at the Avejoe, Villafranca, Cordoba and Seville academies, Cuenca joined Barcelona's La Masia in 2019. He represented Barcelona in three editions of the UEFA Youth League and played a key role in their 2024/25 triumph, scoring in the 4-1 final victory over Trabzonspor. After establishing himself as a starter for Barça Atlètic, he made his first-team debut in the Champions League against Young Boys in 2024, before being loaned to Sporting de Gijón in the second half of the 2025/26 season.
A solid, athletic defender comfortable on the ball, Cuenca has also represented Spain from Under-15 to Under-20 level. His international honours include the FIFA U17 and U20 World Cups and the UEFA U17 and U19 European Championships. Most recently, he was part of Spain's victorious UEFA European Under-19 Championship 2026 campaign.
