Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) won stage 10 of the 2026 Tour de France on Tuesday, 14 July, powering to a solo victory at Le Lioran on Bastille Day and claiming his third stage win of the race. The Slovenian also tightened his grip on the yellow jersey and, two years after Jonas Vingegaard had beaten him on the same climb, took his revenge.
The 166.6-kilometre stage from Aurillac to Le Lioran was a hilly affair through the Massif Central, with the Pas de Peyrol — a 7-kilometre climb — as the decisive test. A large break of about 30 riders went clear, including Mathieu van der Poel, Ben O'Connor and Thymen Arensman, but UAE Team Emirates-XRG kept the gap to around 1:30 and never let it grow.
Richard Carapaz (EF Education-EasyPost) launched a daring attack on the Pas de Peyrol and held a lead of roughly 30 seconds, yet Pogačar bridged to him on the descent and was already alone at the front. On the final three-kilometre ascent the gaps opened up: Isaac del Toro lost ground in the battle for the podium, while Remco Evenepoel was dropped by Jonas Vingegaard's group.
