Paris Saint-Germain have officially completed the signing of Belgian winger Mika Godts from Ajax, the Ligue 1 club announced on Saturday evening. The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year deal that will keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2031, with the teenager set to wear the number 22 shirt.
The transfer is understood to be worth approximately €55 million including performance-related bonuses, making Godts one of the most expensive acquisitions in PSG's busy summer window. The deal had been in the works for several weeks before being finalised over the weekend.
Godts burst onto the scene last season with an impressive return of 17 goals and 12 assists in the Eredivisie, establishing himself as one of the most exciting young talents in European football. The Belgian youth international, born in 2005, had attracted interest from clubs across the continent but PSG moved decisively to secure his signature.
The left-sided attacker arrives as part of PSG's broader strategy to refresh their forward line following the departures of several senior players. With Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola already providing width, Godts adds further depth and competition on the flanks for manager Luis Enrique.
"Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the transfer of Mika Godts," the club said in their official statement. "The Belgian forward has signed with the club from the French capital until 2031."
For Ajax, the sale represents a significant return on a player who came through their youth academy and only recently established himself as a first-team regular. The Dutch club will now need to reinvest as they prepare for their own domestic and European campaigns.
Godts becomes the latest in a growing line of Belgian talent to make the move to a top European league, following in the footsteps of players like Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. At just 20 years old, the winger has time on his side to develop into a key player for both PSG and the Belgian national team.
