Rana Verona have completed their SuperLega squad for the 2026/27 season with a headline-grabbing addition, announcing the signing of Norwegian opposite hitter Anders Mol. The 1997-born player, widely regarded as one of the greatest beach volleyball performers of his generation, joins the roster assembled by head coach Fabio Soli.
Mol arrives with an extraordinary CV from the sand. He claimed Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020 and bronze at Paris 2024, was crowned world champion in Rome in 2022, and won four consecutive European titles between 2018 and 2021, adding a world bronze at Hamburg 2019. Born in Stord, Norway, he now prepares for a completely new challenge on the indoor court, trading the beach for the SuperLega.
The move represents a crossover of the highest level for Italian volleyball. Mol said he chose Rana Verona because he found a club with clear and ambitious ideas, describing the opportunity as an exciting one in a completely new environment that will allow him to keep testing himself at the highest level. He expressed gratitude to the club, the coaching staff and the players for deciding to take this journey together, and said he could not wait to learn something new every day and to give everything for the team.
