Roma still keen on Chelsea's Garnacho despite Summerville progress

Roma have not abandoned their pursuit of Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho, even as their move for Crysencio Summerville accelerates, according to [Football Italia](https://football-italia.net/roma-still-keen-on-chelsea-garnacho/).

Journalist Matteo Pedulla reports that while the chase for Summerville is "red hot" — Roma have lodged a €46 million bid and secured the player's agreement — dialogue over the Chelsea forward continues in parallel. The reason is tactical: Gian Piero Gasperini wants at least two new wide men for his attack, meaning Summerville's progress does not close the door on Garnacho.

A double swoop is not guaranteed, Pedulla cautions, but the two deals are not mutually exclusive, and talks over the Argentina international remain ongoing. Garnacho, out of favour at Stamford Bridge and open to a move, stays firmly in the frame.

The update fits the wider shape of Roma's window. Having also sounded out cheaper alternatives, the Giallorossi are casting a deliberately wide net as they chase the marquee reinforcements Gasperini has demanded for a squad returning to the Champions League.

Pedulla was less encouraging on other names in the rumour mill. He moved to shut down suggestions of interest in Atletico Madrid right-back Nahuel Molina — whose focus is on the World Cup final — and dismissed earlier Dodo speculation as unfounded.

For now, Roma's wing search remains live on two fronts, with Garnacho very much still a target.
