MotoGP has secured its long-term future in Germany after RTL Deutschland and the championship agreed a new broadcast rights deal running from 2027 through 2030, the series announced on Thursday.
The agreement marks a significant shift in how the world's premier motorcycle racing series will be shown in Germany. From 2027, Sky Sport will continue to broadcast every Grand Prix, Tissot Sprint, qualifying session and practice live on pay TV, while for the first time selected races will air free-to-air on RTL, bringing MotoGP to a wider audience than ever before.
The deal also covers Austria and Switzerland, where RTL Deutschland has extended its pay-TV broadcast rights on a long-term basis. In addition to the MotoGP class, all sessions across Moto2 and Moto3 will remain part of the live coverage, alongside the FIM Harley Davidson Bagger World Cup, the Moto4 Northern Cup and the Red Bull Rookies Cup.

The broadcast rights apply across all distribution platforms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and include public screening rights for bars, restaurants, hotels and other venues through Sky Business.
