Born and raised in Miami, Hardaway Jr. called the decision "a no-brainer."
"It's a dream come true," Hardaway Jr. said at his introductory press conference. "Being here, in my city, sharing the locker room with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo... I couldn't ask for more." He will wear No. 10 with 'Jr.' on the jersey.
Hardaway Jr., 34, arrives after 12 NBA seasons with the Knicks, Mavericks, Hawks, and Pistons. With a career average of 14.8 points per game, he brings experience and three-point shooting to Miami's backcourt.
