US Open 2026 Entry List: 10 Italians Confirmed, Sinner Leads as Top Seed

The official entry list for the 2026 US Open, scheduled for August 30 to September 13 at Flushing Meadows, features 10 Italian players — eight in the men's singles draw and two in the women's singles.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner leads the Italian contingent as the top seed, building on his 2024 title at Flushing Meadows and last year's semi-final appearance. Fresh from his Wimbledon triumph, the 24-year-old aims to add another Grand Slam to his collection on the New York hard courts.

Joining him in the men's draw are Flavio Cobolli (seeded No. 9), Lorenzo Musetti (No. 15), Luciano Darderi (No. 21), Matteo Arnaldi (No. 33), Matteo Berrettini (No. 42, a 2019 semi-finalist), Lorenzo Sonego and Mattia Bellucci. Jasmine Paolini and Elisabetta Cocciaretto represent Italy in the women's singles.

The entry list also welcomes the return of two prominent names. Carlos Alcaraz, sidelined since April with a right wrist injury, has removed his brace but is not yet training at full intensity. The Spaniard is also entered for the Cincinnati Masters 1000 beginning August 8. Holger Rune makes his comeback after rupturing his Achilles tendon in October 2025 during the Stockholm semi-final against Ugo Humbert.

Other notable seeds include Alexander Zverev (No. 2), Alcaraz (No. 3), Felix Auger-Aliassime (No. 4), Alex de Minaur (No. 5), Ben Shelton (No. 6), Novak Djokovic (No. 7) and Daniil Medvedev (No. 8).
