The United States Tennis Association has released the provisional entry list for the 2026 US Open mixed doubles tournament, set to take place from August 24-26 at Flushing Meadows. The 16-pair field features a compelling mix of defending champions, marquee partnerships, and intriguing new pairings.
Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori headline the Italian contingent as the two-time defending champions, having won the mixed doubles title in New York in 2024 and 2025. They will attempt to become the first pair to three-peat since the tournament adopted its current format. Italy will also be represented by Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli, who previously won the Indian Wells mixed doubles crown together.
The entry list is anchored by a blockbuster pairing: world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka teams up with 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic. The 2025 runners-up, Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud, are also back for another attempt at the title. Other notable partnerships include Elena Rybakina with Taylor Fritz, Mirra Andreeva with Andrey Rublev, Diana Shnaider with Daniil Medvedev, Jessica Pegula with Jack Draper, and Naomi Osaka with Kei Nishikori.
