FIFA president Gianni Infantino racked up more than 59,000 miles and 115 hours of flight time during the 2026 World Cup, using a Qatari government Gulfstream G650 (Qatar Airways, a FIFA sponsor). AP's analysis of FlightAware data shows an average of more than one flight a day from June 9, with stops at 21 airports and visits to all 16 tournament stadiums.

Infantino attended 43 of 104 matches, with 13 days in which he followed two games in stadiums hundreds of miles apart. The private jet was also used to fly to Doha for the funeral of Qatar's former emir before returning to the US for the semifinals.
