Yann Bisseck signs new Inter contract until 2031

Inter Milan have officially confirmed that defender Yann Bisseck has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 30 June 2031, putting an end to weeks of speculation linking the German with a move to Bayern Munich.

The Serie A champions announced the deal on Wednesday, with the 25-year-old committing his long-term future to the Nerazzurri. Bisseck joined Inter in the summer of 2023 from Danish side Aarhus in a permanent transfer worth €7 million, and has since developed into a key figure in Simone Inzaghi's defensive setup.

Since arriving at San Siro, the Germany international has collected two Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia and one Supercoppa Italiana, establishing himself as a reliable option at centre-back. His physical presence, composure on the ball and ability to play across the back three have made him a valuable asset for the reigning Italian champions.

The extension comes amid a period of significant turnover in Inter's defensive department. Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij all departed at the end of their contracts in June, prompting the club to reshape its backline. Former Manchester City centre-half John Stones is expected to arrive on a free transfer, while Inter retain an interest in Tottenham's Cristian Romero.

Bisseck had been linked with a return to the Bundesliga in recent months, with Bayern Munich reportedly monitoring his situation. However, the former Köln youth product made clear in the days leading up to the announcement that he was not considering a departure, and the new deal confirms his commitment to the Nerazzurri project.
