Amorim confirms Camarda will stay at Milan for entire season, ending loan speculation

Ruben Amorim has ended all speculation about Francesco Camarda's immediate future, confirming the teenage striker will remain at AC Milan for the entire season. "Camarda will stay with us, in any case," Amorim told reporters after the match. "I believe in him a lot and I believe a lot in our young players. I am very happy with what they are showing. I think they have an important future at this club. I don't like to talk about individuals, but I can say with certainty that Camarda will be part of the squad for the whole season."

Until Friday morning, a loan move to a Serie A or Serie B club appeared the most logical path for the 17-year-old, who turns 18 in March 2027. The change of direction reflects Amorim's faith in the academy graduate, who signed a contract extension earlier this summer.

Camarda himself spoke to Sky Sport Italia after the Celtic friendly: "I work my hardest for the colours I love. Every time I step onto the pitch in training or a match I give my life. I know you can't waste opportunities like this. I expect to improve a lot. I grew up at Milan and I am proud of the step I have taken with my renewal."

Amorim also addressed the tactical evolution from Massimiliano Allegri's tenure: "We want to control the game better through longer possession. We are working on it. At the moment it is still difficult and sometimes we take too long to reach the opposition half, but the process has started."

On Mario Gila's early substitution against Celtic, the coach was reassuring: "He felt a small problem, I don't think it is anything serious. We will evaluate it in the coming days, but I hope he can recover quickly."
