Caitlin Clark posted 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for her fourth career triple-double, lifting the Indiana Fever to a fifth straight win with a 112-98 victory over the Portland Fire at the Moda Center on Friday night.
Kelsey Mitchell also scored 26 for the Fever (19-10), who have won nine of their last 11 and reached five consecutive games with 100-plus points. Bridget Carleton had 26 for the Fire (11-18), who have lost four in a row.
Indiana pulled away in the third quarter, leading by as many as 18 before taking a 90-72 edge into the fourth. Makayla Timpson opened the final period with a layup that restored a double-digit lead. Portland fought back, trimming the deficit to 98-88 on Carleton's 3-pointer with 4:08 remaining, and her layup made it 100-93. Clark then knocked down free throws for a 110-96 cushion with a minute left, and the Fire ran out of time.
