Lazio have completed the signing of Dutch centre-back Danilho Doekhi on a free transfer, the club's defensive rebuild gathering pace after the departures of Mario Gila and Alessio Romagnoli.
The 28-year-old arrived in Rome on Monday 13 July 2026 for his medical and is set to put pen to paper on a three-year contract running to June 2029. Doekhi became available after his deal with Union Berlin was allowed to expire on 30 June, making him a zero-cost acquisition for the Biancocelesti.
A modern, physically strong centre-back, Doekhi spent four seasons in the German capital with Union Berlin, where he made 34 Bundesliga appearances in 2025/26. He now joins a Lazio side looking to rebuild its back line under the new management structure in place at Formello.
