AJ Dybantsa made an immediate statement in his NBA Summer League debut, leading the Washington Wizards to a 92-88 victory over Darryn Peterson and the Utah Jazz on Thursday in Las Vegas.
It was the first head-to-head meeting between the top two picks in the 2026 NBA Draft. Dybantsa finished with a game-high 27 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. The No. 1 overall pick helped the Wizards open Summer League play with a 1-0 record.
Tre Johnson provided a strong offensive complement with 26 points, while Will Riley added 18 points, three rebounds and two assists, giving Washington key scoring options throughout the night.
