Genoa CFC has officially completed the permanent signing of Austrian forward Elias Havel from TSV Hartberg. Born in Vienna on 16 April 2003, Havel has already debuted for the Austrian national team and has established himself as one of the emerging forwards in the domestic leagues.
The striker arrives in Liguria with a notable track record: 18 goals and 5 assists in 65 Austrian Bundesliga appearances, plus 13 goals and 11 assists in 61 matches in the 2. Liga, the second division. He put pen to paper on a multi-year contract with the club after completing his medical tests.
"Elias will bring pace and the ability to attack in behind to our squad, two qualities we consider very important for the way we want to play. Welcome to Genoa, Elias!" said Chief of Football Diego Lopez. The player added: "Genoa is an important opportunity, I am thrilled with the choice and will do everything I can to settle in quickly. Thank you to the club for the trust, and I look forward to meeting the fans at the stadium."
