Burnley have signed winger Lluc Castell from Espanyol for an undisclosed fee. The 19-year-old has agreed a three-year contract and becomes the Clarets' first signing of the summer transfer window.
Castell began his career in the academy of Gimnastic de Tarragona before joining Espanyol in 2022. The Spain Under-18 international made his senior debut for the La Liga side in a 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad in the final game of last season.
The move comes after Burnley appointed Nicky Hayen as their new coach. The club will open the new Championship season at home to West Ham on Sunday, 16 August.
